I was the internal lead artist and point of contact for the outsourced level team.
The map is built by the massively talented people at Sperasoft led by master genius Igor Gorkovenko.
This is the only map that only allows only combat approach rather than sneaking.
Creating this map was all about building a combat arena and making it look like a construction site on top of the Queensborough bridge.
Expecting players to be busy surviving, and considering the larger layout component is just one straight road across one area with one theme, we had to put energy into orientation. We created sub themes with a subtle large scale gradient across the entire map giving you a clear indication of where you are, while still letting us set smartly with a smaller number of assets.
